The Movement of Rank-and-File Educators stands in solidarity with the Blue School Union! School staff at Blue School came together in July 2021 to demand fairness and transparency and to address unsustainable working conditions, lack of job security, and unfair wage practices. They won their vote, fair and square, as the National Labor Relations Board has certified. But Blue School leadership has continually attempted to bust the union, and is now in violation of labor laws by refusing to recognize or bargain in good faith with Blue School Union.

We stand in solidarity with Blue School staff because we believe all workers deserve fair treatment and to have their rights respected. Schools and students succeed when educators' voices are heard, and everyone receives equitable treatment.

We invite those who are able to join the Blue School Union as they picket from 8:30 am to 3:30pm at 241 Water Street on Tuesday, May 24th.
