- Thirty UFT members at Millennium Brooklyn High School filed a safety grievance over the extremely slow response from the Department of Education’s Situation Room and demanded that their school go remote.
- The UFT chapter at PS 933M also filed a safety grievance demanding to go remote and several other chapters are considering similar grievances.
- UFT members at Liberty High School Academy for Newcomers agreed to fill out forms to consent to daily testing as a way of calling attention to the lack of testing in their school.
- After several UFT members at Maker Academy were absent because of COVID symptoms and student attendance plummeted the school switched to remote instruction.
- UFT members at PS 58K wore black on Tuesday to protest the lack of testing.
- UFT members at a high school in Washington Heights exercised their right to take paid days off because of suspected COVID symptoms.
- At a high school in D13 all the School Safety Agents were absent and so students were not admitted into the building.
